Neighbors

You’re so sweet that you thought it would be nice to live across from a hospital
Sirens blaring, injuried bodies arriving
Sick people milling about
Our neighbors now

It is nice of you to live in a city

And to accept what a city is and does for those 

Outside this cozy place where a baby sleeps as sirens wail.
