Biker justice

Bikers rallied August 20 over a May shooting involving police that left nine dead and at least twice as many injured. After the shooting, 177 people were arrested on charges of engaging in organized crime and conspiring to commit capital murder. But the rally was cut short when a sheriff's deputy noticed a cooler and a suitcase. The bomb squad came but the contents did not include hazardous materials. Some of the bikers continued their rally to the former Twin Peaks restaurant where the May 17 shootout occurred. Every month since the shooting, bikers have peacefully demonstrated in front of the McClennan County Courthouse. Tonight there are unconfirmed reports of arrest.
